'Berkeley Hearing Centers' Latest COVID-19 Announcement

‘Berkeley Hearing Center’s’ Latest COVID-19 Announcement

by | Apr 21, 2020 | Patient Resources

During such a difficult and unprecedented time as this, we want you to know that Berkeley Hearing Center remains open with new procedures to continue to support our patients while minimizing face-to-face visits to prioritize your health, other patients and our team.

A Hearing Helpline has been set-up from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday to answer any questions or help with any challenges that you’re facing.

As of March 18th 2020 – our procedures are as follows:

#1 – Drive-Thru Audiology

If repair or attention is required, patients can drive to the office and drop off their hearing aids through our front window drop-box. Your devices can then be repaired by our professionals (or mailed to the manufacturer) as needed, allowing you to then pick them up from the window at a pre-agreed time.

This ensures that there is little to no human contact during drop off/collection and your devices will be professionally cleaned, wiped and sanitized before they are picked up.

#2 – Pick-up or Mailed Supplies.

If you require any supplies, you can pick them up via our window or they can be mailed to you (with associated shipping costs as usual).

NOTE: Please call our Helpline in advance of visiting us to ensure that you’re not waiting around and your visit is as quick and smooth as possible.

#3 – Remote Assist.

If setting changes are required for your hearing devices, you can visit us at an agreed time and remote adjustments may be possible without you having to leave your car. Please call the Helpline to schedule a time that works for you.

For patients with newer models of Resound (LiNX 3D & Quattro), Phonak Marvel and some Signia/Siemens (Nx & X) Hearing Aids and a smartphone or iPad, we may be able to make adjustments utilizing remote programming capabilities. Please call the Helpline for details on what is required and/or available.

#4 – Video Conferencing Available.

If you would like a video conferencing call to discuss any challenges you may be experiencing, then you can contact us via Skype at berkeleyhearing@gmail.com.

Please call our Helpline to schedule a video conferencing appointment in advance.

The health and wellbeing of our patients and our community is our number one priority. Please know that during these difficult times, our team is here for you.

Do you know somebody that needs to see this? Why not share it?
