We are thrilled to announce the winner of our Hear for the Holidays giveaway that we hosted at the end of 2022.
This campaign was a special initiative to recognize and support those who may be struggling with a hearing loss during the holiday season.
According to recent statistics, hearing loss impacts 1 in 8 people, which means that there is likely someone in your community or at your dinner table who could benefit from this type of support.
At Berkeley Hearing Center, we have always been committed to giving back to our community, which is why we were excited to launch this giveaway.
We invited our customers to nominate someone who they believed deserved to win a complimentary pair of premium prescription hearing aids and hearing care.
And the Winner Is…
After receiving many heart-warming nominations, we were delighted to announce Odile Atthalin as the grand prize winner of our Hear for the Holidays campaign.
Odile was nominated by her godson, Gabriel Liboiron-Cohen, who had previously worked in our office. When we learned about Odile’s remarkable life story and her contributions to her community, we knew that she was a deserving winner.
Odile has had an extraordinary life journey. She grew up in France and escaped the Nazi occupation during the liberation of Normandy. She went on to live in India, Afghanistan, and eventually settled in the United States.
Over the years, Odile has dedicated her life to teaching and practicing meditation and body work, helping hundreds of people through a range of issues and supporting their healing journeys toward wholeness.
Despite Odile’s incredible commitment to serving others, she was hesitant to seek help for her own hearing loss. However, with the encouragement of Gabriel and others, she finally decided to take action.
When we told her that she had won the grand prize, which included a comprehensive hearing assessment and a new pair of premium Omnia hearing aids donated by ReSound, she was overjoyed. “You are going to change my life!” she exclaimed.
We are honored to provide Odile with the next five years of hearing healthcare, and we hope that the hearing aids will help her to fully engage with her patients and the people around her.
Odile’s story is a powerful reminder of the impact that hearing loss can have on a person’s life, and it highlights the importance of acting and seeking help when needed.
