Dr. Jasmine Ramirez
Doctor of Audiology
Jasmine Ramirez was born and raised in Fresno, California where she earned a bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders at Fresno State University. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Audiology at the University of Colorado Boulder. There, she focused on making audiology more accessible for all, by joining leadership positions, being an advocate for underrepresented students, and encouraging diversity in the profession. She is passionate about patient care; she strives to make every patient feel heard, supported, and well taken care of.
A passionate music lover, Jasmine grew up with music inside of her bones. She spent 6 years from grade school through high school playing in her school band as a percussionist. Since that time, she has used this passion for music to frequently attend concerts, learn about music, and encourage others to protect their hearing while enjoying music. She wishes to learn more about hearing protection during her audiology career to better help others enjoy music while protecting their hearing.
Outside of audiology, she loves to hike, discover amazing food, go to concerts, and spend time with her cat. She is an animal lover and wishes to volunteer at local shelters in the Oakland area.
Jasmine is especially interested in cochlear implantation, and hopes to be able to help patients from all walks of life with this life changing device. She is also passionate about aural rehabilitation, or how to better communicate with loved ones while having a hearing difference. She believes that communication is key. Jasmine strives to use her leadership, communication skills, and outside passions to make her patients feel supported in every way.
