Treatment Plans to Fit
Your Specific Hearing Needs
Advanced hearing technology is just one tool in your repertoire when it comes to better hearing outcomes – the guidance and support of a team of hearing healthcare professionals is what makes the difference between good and great hearing.
We only recommend treatment after comprehensive testing—never based on a quick screen.
If we find hearing loss, we don’t “sell” devices — we prescribe treatment.
Our role is to help you understand what’s going on, what it means in your everyday life, and what to do about it — clearly, honestly, and without pressure.
How We Deliver Care
We believe treatment works best when it’s personalized, unrushed, and supported over time. Our approach to hearing care is built around long-term outcomes, not quick fixes - and that philosophy guides every recommendation we make.
Why We Use Treatment Plans
Because great outcomes are built — not dispensed.
Hearing aids aren’t a retail purchase at Berkeley Hearing Center. Strong, lasting results require two elements:
1. The best hearing technology, precisely fit and programmed by an expert
2. Access to ongoing clinical care to verify, adapt, and optimize performance as your life changes
For most patients, the best results come from our Comprehensive Plan — because hearing changes, technology evolves, and real-world performance requires proactive care over time.
Your Journey: The Berkeley Method
Better hearing isn’t a one-time event. It’s treatment - verified, refined, and supported over time.
#2 Fit & Verify
Precision programming using best-practice verification to confirm benefit in real life — not just in a quiet room.
#4 Protect & Optimize
Ongoing care to maintain performance and adapt as your hearing needs and environments change.
What this means: you’re not just getting devices, you’re getting a clinically validated process and a care team responsible for real-world outcomes.
Treatment Plans, Recommended by Your Audiologist
We recommend one of two care pathways -both aligned with the Berkeley Method and tailored to your needs.
Decades of experience have shown us that the strongest outcomes come from care that is structured, proactive, and continuous.

Cochlear Implant Programming
Our audiology team works closely with cochlear implant (CI) specialists and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) physicians to provide comprehensive, coordinated care for cochlear implant patients. We believe that the best outcomes are achieved through a strong partnership between audiologists, otolaryngologists, and CI device specialists — ensuring each patient receives seamless support from candidacy evaluation through device activation and ongoing programming.
Lace AI Pro (Neurotone) — $399
For both patients not prescribed hearing aids as well as those who have been fit with hearing aids, a clinically validated auditory training program designed to improve speech comprehension and listening skills, particularly in noisy environments.
Train the brain with skills that support clearer understanding. Hearing is more than volume. Lace AI Pro is a clinically validated, patient-led auditory training program designed to strengthen listening and comprehension skills used for real-world conversation, particularly in noisy environments.
It acts as "physical therapy for the brain," training users to better process auditory information rather than just amplifying sound.
Insurance (Out-of-Network)
Berkeley Hearing Center is an out-of-network provider. We’ll help you understand any benefits you may have and handle claims submission so you can use your out-of-network reimbursement when available.
Why We Don’t Recommend “Waiting”
For most adults, hearing loss isn’t something medication can reverse. When a comprehensive evaluation confirms permanent hearing loss (most commonly sensorineural), the evidence-based path forward is hearing technology paired with professional care. Addressing hearing loss earlier — rather than waiting — usually leads to an easier adjustment, better communication, and better long-term outcomes.
Even mild hearing loss can blur speech, especially in background noise. When that happens, your brain has to work harder to keep up. Over time, that extra effort often shows up as fatigue, frustration, or pulling back from conversations.
Research shows that for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss, hearing aids improve hearing-specific quality of life and listening ability. Treating hearing loss earlier typically leads to better adaptation and more consistent benefit over time.
When treatment is appropriate, we’ll say so -plainly - and help you move forward at a pace that feels right to you.
